05 ESSENTIAL LGBTQ FILMS TO STREAM THIS PRIDE MONTH!!!

“It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.” – Andre Gide. That is both bitter and sweet to be true. Everyone defines love differently, and to be honest, we should all be accepted for who we love. Section 377 became legal in India only a few years ago, and I’m proud to say that it is PRIDE month! And, without a doubt, it is time to rejoice in love! It’s time to celebrate yourself and, more importantly, to be proud of yourself!

Our beloved Bollywood industry has begun to create films in order to find a mainstream audience, to support and raise a voice to those who are anti-LGBT, and believe me, we have loved to support it. So, to give this month a sweet little twist, here are 5 essential LGBTQ films to watch this PRIDE month!

This late Rishi Kapoor film is a heart melter. The plot begins with the introduction of two brothers, Rahul Kapoor (Fawad Khan) and Arjun Kapoor (Sidharth Malhotra), who are both invited to their childhood home in Connor to visit their 90-year-old grandfather (Rishi Kapoor), who has suffered from a cardiac arrest. Rahul had planned to reveal secrets to his entire family, but the plot twists when Tia Malik (Alia Bhatt) causes a schism between two of them. There’s romance, comedy, and drama to be found.
