Gone are the days when Hrithik Roshan was just-a pretty chocolate boy next door. His career has leapt from the cupid-struck Rohit in Kaho Na Pyaar hai(2000)  to an earnest Anand Kumar in Super 30 (2019).

Asia’s hottest guy has had a glittering career as a hero, villain, comedian, and cameo over the last two decades. Despite his numerous health complications, he has established himself as the Dancing God of the industry, with nearly a hundred credits to his name. Hrithik recently turned heads when the first look for his upcoming blockbuster ‘Vikram Vedha’ was released on his 48th birthday via social media. You have to trust me when I say, “no metaphor is strong enough to describe how jaw-droppingly hot he looks!!”

There’s not much we can do but wait until September to drool over his incredible acting in Vikram Vedha. Till then let’s  take a stroll through his acting career and binge-watch some of his very best movies this weekend to calm our hearts and relive his acting! *_*

  1. Kaho na Pyaar hai (2000)

With an IMDb rating of 6.9, Rakesh Roshan’s Directed Blockbuster was Hrithik’s ticket to Bollywood. The commercial thriller is a love story between a simple upright young man (Hrithik Roshan) and a sweet, rich girl (Amisha Patel). After the death of a young man, the film takes a tragic turn. The heartbroken girl travels abroad to escape her painful memories, where she meets a man with the same face as her beloved. The man follows her back to India and is surprised to find himself the target of violent attacks. Their coming together to solve the mystery is the film’s climax.

  1. Lakshya (2004)

One of my favourite movies is Lakshya, a 2004 war drama. The plot of the film is based on the Kargil war. Lakshya is Sanskrit for “Goal.” The main characters are played by Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. The movie plot revolves around a rich, spoiled protagonist named Karan, for whom life is a piece of cake until he joins the Indian Army and encounters problems with his love-interest Rumi (Preity Zinta) and the Kargil War.

Karan takes it upon himself to protect his country from terrorists while also proving to Rumi that he is deserving of something. The movie is a full-on masala drama which makes for the perfect fit for a binge-watching weekend.

  1. Dhoom 2 (2006)

In the year 2006, the well-known Dhoom franchise created yet another amazing plot. Dhoom 2 reinvents and ushers in the action comedy genre for the twenty-first century. A high-tech international , smoking hot thief emerges after pulling off a series of impossible heists around the world. Jai (Abhishek Bacchan), Shonali (Bipasha Basu), and Ali (Uday Chopra), the fun cop trio, are on the trail of Aryan (Hrithik Roshan) and Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai). From the Namibian desert to the backwaters of Goa, Mumbai’s mean streets, Rajasthan’s ancient forts, and finally the wild and exotic Rio de Janeiro. Is ACP Jai Dixit able to apprehend Mr A? Enjoy the adrenaline rush and find out!

  1. Jodha Akbar(2008)

This is my personal favourite. Jodha Akbar is a sixteenth-century love story about an alliance marriage that gave birth to true love between a great Mughal Emperor, Akbar (Hrithik Roshan), and a Rajput princess Jodha (Aishwarya Rai). Little did Akbar realise that by marrying Jodha to strengthen his relations with the Rajputs, he would be embarking on a new journey – the journey of true love. If you enjoy Ashutosh Gowariker’s extravagant sets and wish to immerse yourself in the mesmerising Mughal era, you should definitely watch this film.

  1.  Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)

Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is about male bonding and situations that test the ultimate friendship. The plot revolves around three young men who take a vacation that changes their lives forever. Throughout the film, various emotions and internal battles play out, with one person falling in love while the other falls out. No matter how many times you’ve watched this movie, it strikes a different chord each time.

There’s literally nothing this superstar can’t do, from toning his body to 0% fat for “War” to becoming a chubby Anand Kumar for “Super 30” in under two months. He is not only a true superstar but also a source of inspiration for many. From battling health issues to standing up for himself, he is also a fantastic speaker and host. While I wait for him and his team to reveal his next project, I’ll undoubtedly be binge-watching his best performances with my girlfriends this weekend; how about you?
